We all have a story, a cause, a nonprofit that speaks to our hearts. During this season of giving and gratitude, we asked each member of our team to share one of theirs with you.

Elaine Weber Nelson: I support St. John’s University, not only because my son is a junior there now, but because they are committed to both educating young people and instilling a strong sense of community in them. While every organization has issues, St. John’s has faced some of the more recent ones head-on and in doing so, has modeled positive responses to negative experiences to their students. Their strong alumni network reflects the community they cultivate deliberately. I believe those who choose this educational experience reflect back to the world that sense of community, commitment and care in the best ways possible.
